Jodeen Britton

1st Grade Teacher / Art

Summary: I started teaching in 1983 and announced a Call Acceptance to serve as Good Shepherd’s first grade teacher in 2001.

Favorite Passage: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7) I also enjoy reading the Psalms.

Education: I hold a masters degree in Reading Education.

Teaching philosophy: To enrich children’s lives by teaching them about our Lord, how to read, and all the other life skills and lessons to grow and mature. I went into teaching because I spent a lot of time visiting with my friend’s sister. She was a teacher and, through those visits, the Lord led me to become a Christian teacher.
