Favorite Bible Passages: “Psalm 18 is the Old Testament’s More than Conquerors fight song that I love. When the day seems full of trouble I look for Hebrews 12:1-12, Luke 12:22-34, James 5, or John 21:15-19. But if I forget everything else I would keep these two: ‘For God so loved the world…’ (John 3:16) and ‘Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners – of whom I am the worst’ (1 Timothy 1:15).”
Why Miss Lendt accepted the call to GS: “To teach the Gospel – When God asks you to feed his lambs, what else can you possibly imagine doing with your life?”
Miss Lendt’s philosophy: “Wrestle with God – get your grips on his collar and cuffs, hook his legs with your feet, insist that he make good on his promises, and: don’t let go until he blesses you. Didn’t he bless Jacob? Didn’t he teach the parable of the persistent widow? Didn’t he commend the Syrophoenician woman? So don’t let go!!! He has promised to bless you with grace upon grace.”
