Julia Buller

Favorite bible passage(s): The Lord is my light and salvation- whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1)

Why Julia wanted to become an Aide: I retired from teaching 3 year olds in Sunday School and the Lord knew that I really have a heart for small children. So when Cheryl asked me to be her aide, I jumped at the chance and haven’t looked back.

Julia’s philosophy: Keep the Lord first in all circumstances and everything else falls into place, even if some of those things are challenges to overcome.

Hometown: I grew up an Air Force brat (then joined the Army myself!) but my parents live in Farmington and that is where I graduated from high school.

Education: High School grad, 1 1/2 years at Bethel College, 4 years of military service which taught me pretty much everything else.

Experience: 14 years teaching Sunday School.

Home Life: I met my husband Jeff while stationed at The Presidio in San Francisco. We went on our first date in September and married in November that same year. We consider living apart in Korea our dating year! This year we will celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary. Our daughter Jessica is married to Ryan Klatt. They live and teach in two of our WELS schools in Manitowoc, WI. Our son, Jacob, attends the U of MN where he is studying Political Science. He also runs on the track team in the Heptathalon and Decathalon. We have an adorable Schnoodle named Ellie. She spends summers supervising the robins and squirrels in our backyard.
