Favorite Bible Passage: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” (Mark 10:14)

These words Jesus spoke inspire me in my calling to pursue excellence and also instill in me a great respect for the responsibility given to me as a teacher.

My Teaching Philosophy: My goal as an educator is to help each child who enters my classroom realize how truly blessed they are to be uniquely crafted by God to fulfill a purpose he has planned just for them. In preschool this realization starts with the basics, discovering how great it is that God made them just so, while God made their friends, classmates and families all to be unique, too. Having a firm foundation in their purpose as His children will help these young learners grow up with confidence and drive to reach their Godgiven potential.

Developing a strong relationship with their Savior is my first objective. Along with this, I also strive to serve the Lord by being the best teacher I can be for these little ones, which includes offering the children an environment ready for learning. In preschool we will focus on the social, physical, mental and emotional aspects of learning that develop at this age. Our days will be filled with movement, hands-on opportunities and time to discuss with our peers all of the wonders we see around us.

If you come into our room during the day, you can expect to see smiling faces, busy hands and voices practicing our communication. It will look like we’re having a lot of fun; and we are! This is how we learn best!

I went into teaching because I have been surrounded with children my whole life.  I truly feel that this is my calling, to instill in children the love their Father has for them, to foster and encourage them to explore the world around them in order to discover their unique giftedness and pursue using those gifts their whole lives. I consider it a blessing and honor to be a member of the Good Shepherd staff.

May God richly bless our school and our families as we train these children up grounded in Christ and growing in their knowledge, understanding and individual talents.
