I’m New! First time…

1. What are your services like?

Each weekend at Good Shepherd you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that is Christ-centered. We have a service program for notes, and two large screens help you make the most of the practical and relevant message. Children are well cared for in our loving, quality Little Lambs Nursery and parents can care for their children in the parents room accessed from the sanctuary.

2. What will happen when I visit for the first time?

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for a while—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.

3. What do I wear to attend your services?

You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our weekend service. Come in what is comfortable for you, because Good Shepherd is not about what you look like or what you wear.

4. What is the worship like?

We invite you to join us each week as we worship together. Our services vary from traditional liturgy of the Western Rite, highlighting the great hymns and responses of Christianity, to upbeat contemporary praise and worship music. We encourage everyone to participate. Don’t worry…we didn’t know the songs at first either. God comes to us in his Word and sacrament; we respond with prayer and praise. Whenever you worship, we want you to leave the service renewed and enlightened.

5. What about the Children?

Little Lambs Childcare is available for children 4 yrs. and under during all of our weekend services. Your little ones are greeted by our wonderful providers as they enter the room. We also offer a “parents room” where you can take your children with you to quiet them, while you can still see and participate in the worship service with them.

6. Where can I get more information about Good Shepherd?

Stop at the Information Center in the lobby. There you will find helpful volunteers and printed materials that will answers many of your questions about Good Shepherd.  For more information about partnership at Good Shepherd or what we believe about Jesus and his teachings, please speak to one of our pastors or ask for a partnership brochure.
