Good Shepherd Lutheran Church | Burnsville, MN

Mrs. Koob

Office Manager & School Admin Assistant

Summary: Mrs. Koob accepted the role of Receptionist for Good Shepherd Church & School in August 2023. In the summer of 2024, Mrs. Koob took over the role of Office Manager and Church Admin Assistant. With the retirement of Good Shepherd’s long-time School Office Administrator at the end of the 2025/2026 school year, Mrs. Koob has accepted that position and will continue as the Office Manager.

Staff Role at Good Shepherd: Office Manager & School Admin Assistant

Volunteer Roles: I was a volunteer in the Kid’s Ministry at our previous church. I presently volunteer at Good Shepherd Church, helping with Faith Night planning and other volunteer opportunities as they arise. In past school years I have served lunch and volunteered in the library.

Favorite Bible Passage: Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Why Mrs. Koob wanted to work at Good Shepherd: As our boys have grown and our lives have become busier, I wanted to find something that would allow me to have more time with my family and perhaps ease some of the go, go, go that comes with parenting. I am looking forward to having my work schedule align with their school schedule and being in the same place they are all day (and not having the daily drive to/from downtown Minneapolis). Being able to spend more time with my boys in the summer (while they still want to hang out with me) is an added bonus! I am excited to explore this new path and look forward to getting to know more Good Shepherd students and their families.

Mrs. Koob’s philosophy: Live life with grace for yourself and others. This has proved a challenging philosophy with three young boys, but we are working on it.

Education: Paralegal A.S. Degree and a class shy of a B.A. in Criminal Justice.

Experience: I worked in the legal field as a legal assistant and paralegal for the last 22+ years.

Home Life: My husband and I met while working at the Juvenile Court in Minneapolis. We were married in Riviera Maya, Mexico 15 years ago. Once we started our family, we moved from Bloomington to Apple Valley (where I grew up) to be closer to grandma (my mom). Our family enjoys movie nights, game nights, pools/waterparks, the outdoors, exploring, sports, and always keeping hope alive that the Vikings will win a Superbowl.
